Teaching the history and ecology of the Big Thicket National Preserve is part of our mission. Because of the close proximity of Beaumont to one of the units of the Big Thicket National Preserve, the Neches River Adventure offers an exceptional opportunity for your students to learn about both the history and ecology of this area. We will also highlight the ecological and economic importance of the Neches River to Southeast Texas. While on the river the temperature will be about 10 degrees cooler, a jacket may be needed.
With the generous financial support from several local companies and organizations, we are able to provide free trips for area students. However, available dates are limited and our school schedules fill-up fast, so early registration is advised. Below you will find registration information that must be completed.
Please read all information and Rules and Regulations carefully so that we can better serve you.
First read the Rules by clicking on the "Rules" link below.
