COVID-19 Boat Safety Protocols

Sail aboard the "Ivory Bill" to learn about the unique ecosystems along the Neches River with their dense bottomland forests of hardwoods and pine trees. The area is home to more than 200 tree species, 47 mammals, 300 birds and many reptiles and amphibians.

If a passenger or anyone in a group has been knowingly exposed or is experiencing symptoms on the day of the trip, we will work with you to cancel or reschedule the group. (See registration page for details.)

Last tour date is October 26th.

Registration and payment in advance is now required.

Most public tours depart from historic Colliers Ferry Park, 5390 Pine Street, Beaumont. Passengers will be notified if an alternate boat dock is scheduled.

While on the river the temperature will be about 10 degrees cooler, a jacket may be needed.

Important Message regarding On-line Reservations for Public Tours:

If a passenger or anyone in a group has been knowingly exposed or is experiencing symptoms on the day of the trip, we will work with you to cancel or reschedule the group. Passengers are required to sign a waiver which will include a COIVD-19 statement. One waiver sheet will be given to each registered group on a trip. Each member of the group will be asked to sign the form.

Passenger capacity has returned to 32 passengers. Passengers and crew members are NOT required to wear masks or face shields during tours. BTA can provide masks, if anyone would like one. Hand sanitizer is also available on the vessel.

Payment in advance is required to reserve your space for this tour. If you are forced to cancel, you may request a refund or we can re-book for a later date.

Snacks and non alcoholic drinks are allowed on the public tours.

Public tours may be cancelled by the Captain due to inclement weather or operational considerations beyond our direct control. We will NOT tour if there is a 50% chance of serious thunderstorms (at the time of the tour) or the temperature is below 45 degrees F.

Cancellations, due to weather, for paid reservations can be re-scheduled for another Saturday, or can be refunded to the client. Call 409-651-5326 or email btaassistant@gmail.com to request a refund or to reschedule.

Disclaimer: You will be asked to electronically indicate your agreement for this liability release form. It confirms that you assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur during today’s Neches River Adventures boat tour, or while you are on the premises of the boat dock. You hereby release and hold harmless the sponsors, promoters, or entities associated with the boat tours or otherwise. You acknowledge that you listened to the Captain’s safety instructions, and you are familiar with the potential dangers of being aboard the Ivory Bill while touring. You also acknowledge that you have been offered a life jacket to wear while aboard the vessel and understand that you are under no obligation to wear one. You agree to obey all laws and regulations made by local, Texas, and U.S. Governments.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By participating in the boat tour, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

You also acknowledge your picture and/or likeness may be used for future promotion of Neches River Adventures and consent to its use.

The liability release form must be complete and signed by all participants and/or legal guardians.
